Birthday Picnic

A couple of weeks ago I was looking through the catalog for Boudin Bakery in San Francisco and saw this cute picnic-lunch basket. I told Pat then that I wanted to go on a picnic for my birthday and that I wanted it to be just like this one. Yesterday, he pickep me up and took me to the park for a picnic. He had recreated this and made it even better! He bought a cute straw bag at Target and filled it with goodies. We had a very "European" picnic with sliced baguettes topped with brie, slices of pear and drizzled with pepper jelly for the "hor'dourve". Then he had gotten the gorgonzola salad from Basila's (my favorite!) and then for dessert he brought chocolate covered biscotti that we spread with Nutella and then dipped in vanilla gelato! And he got some of that French sparkling lemonade I love!
I love how thoughtful and detailed he is! It was absolutely the very best picnic EVER! Love that guy!

Good job Pat! Glad you had a great day (even though I recognized hardly anything that you ate!!!) Living in New York made you really fancy. I need lessons.

Carly- It's ME! Yeah I've been reading your blog and just waiting for the perfect introduction!

I Love that Pat did that for you! Totally down to detail! Plus I LOVE Gellato! I hate that the only place you can get it here is Harmons! BOO! Unless you know a secret that I don't? Anyway...HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY! :)
